Now We Have Power
Now We Have Power is the follow-up and sequel to Sanguine Hum's acclaimed 2015 double album Now We Have Light, described as a masterpiece by All About Jazz magazine.
In October 2018, co-writer Matt Baber and I finally finished the second album in a set of recordings that took us ten years to complete.
Beginning many years before the recording of Now We Have Power, Matt and I developed a surreal story, an Adamsesque yarn about a man who inadvertently destroys the world only to stumble upon a solution so strange as to be absurd.
As time passed, the story ballooned, and the first part of the tale became the double album Now We Have Light. Although 15 tracks long, Now We Have Light fell short of finishing the story, and completing this epic would require another album - Now We Have Power was born.
