Diving Bell

Diving Bell

Diving Bell is the first record recorded under the name Sanguine Hum. It's also the first record released by Cherry Red subsidiary Esoteric Antenna.

After releasing Songs For Days, we began writing a new record building on leftover material from earlier sessions. Tracks like The Ladder and Nothing Between Us that didn't make the Songs For Days album found their way onto Diving Bell, and new material we were rehearsing, like The Trial and There's No Hum, completed the tracklist.

Diving Bell was recorded two years before its official release in 2010, and a physical release of the album followed in 2011.

The music on this album is a departure from the whimsical style of Songs For Days, and the ideas it explored spilt over into the Nunbient album Just Another Dark Age

Sanguine Hum have a special Merry-Go-Round of music here and it’s not to be missed. In fact, I consider it one of the best progressive CD’s of 2010! Hands down, TOTALLY, CRAZY FULLY HIGHLY INSANELY RECOMMENDED!
